Missoula woman accused of backing over cop pleads not guilty


MISSOULA, Mont. - A Missoula woman accused of running over a cop pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday.

NBC Montana told you when Dawnette Jean Eaton allegedly backed over a Missoula police officer, sending her to the hospital earlier this month.

Eaton faces 50 years behind bars for the felony crimes.

Officers originally stopped her for suspected parole violation and said she backed over police officer Deni Poling. The other officer on the scene fired one round from his gun hitting Eaton in the arm.
