MISSOULA, Mont. - Fund-raisers are being set up around the country to support those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.
Sunday in Missoula folks started to register for the 'Run for Boston' that takes place at McCormick Park in Missoula Monday evening.
The Runners Edge and Run Wild Missoula are hosting the event.
Sunday afternoon NBC Montana talked to Hamilton resident Ashley Kelly, who ran the Boston Marathon, she says there was so much kindness in Boston that she wanted to do something to give back.
"I had a group from Florida like 'oh come with us we'll take you to the start and we'll make sure you know where to go,'" said Kelly. "You just meet those people and so you know the people in the crowd have that connection and it could have been anyone you met so just to be able to support them and let them know that you're there."
There is still time to sign up for the ‘Run for Boston.' Registration will continue at the Runners Edge Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The suggested registration donation is $20.
Missoula's ‘Run for Boston' includes a both a two-mile and four-mile run. They kick off at McCormick Park at 6:30.
