Missoula Symphony Orchestra longtime conductor, Joseph Henry, dies


MISSOULA, Mont. - According to the Missoula Symphony Orchestra, Joseph Henry, Music Director Emeritus of the Missoula Symphony Orchestra and its conductor for 21 years, died at St. Patrick Hospital on June 1, 2014.

A memorial service will be Sunday, June 8 at 1pm in the Music Recital Hall, located inside the UM Music Building.  A string quartet and a woodwind duo from the Missoula Symphony Orchestra will provide music for the service, and speakers from the Missoula Symphony Association will include Jim Valeo, past president and John Driscoll, executive director.
