Missoula police need help locating suspect after assault


MISSOULA, Mont. - Missoula police need help locating a suspect after an assault near the Reserve Street bridge Thursday night.

Police say it happened at about 8:25 p.m. about 200 yards west of the bridge, near a transient camp.  A man in his 20's reportedly struck a 40 year old transient man in the head with a hard object.  The victim was transported to St. Patrick's hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The suspect is described as caucasian, about 5'10" tall, long brown hair with scruffy and short facial hair that is not a full beard.  He usually wears a denim jacket, a tan fishing vest, or a black hoodie.  He has been seen carrying a long skateboard that reads "needs work" on one side with a backwards "R" and "free hugs" on the other side.
