MISSOULA, Mont. - A Missoula man who allegedly threatened his parents and fiancée with a handgun late last week appeared in court Monday, where he was charged with three counts of assault with a weapon.
According to court documents, Missoula resident Robert Curran was angry after getting in an argument with his fiancée. That's when documents say he grabbed and loaded a .45 caliber handgun and began pointing it at his fiancée and his mother.
Court documents say when Curran's brother tried to talk him down, Curran pointed the gun at him too.
Curran's fiancée told police she wasn't sure if Curran would hurt anybody, so she hid behind his mother, hoping Curran would not shoot her.
Curran's bail was set at $20,000 and he is expected back in court later this month.
