MISSOULA, Mont. - Center was held up early Friday. Authorities say the suspect entered the Travel Center at about 2:43 am on January 17, and brandished a firearm believed to be a black semi-automatic pistol of an unknown make and caliber.
Authorities say the male suspect received money in a plastic bag, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, heading westbound along Mullan Gulch Road (Old US Highway 10.)
The suspect is described as being roughly 6 feet tall with a thin build, wearing a black coat over a blue hoodie pulled over the head, as well as a black bandana covering the face. The suspect also reportedly wore black colored sweat pants with white shoes that have black markings.
Staff at the travel center tell NBC Montana they hope the suspect is caught soon.
"This place is so busy you wouldn't think that anybody would have the guts to try it. [It's] definitely scary. It's terrible when bad things happen to good people. These are really good people we work for and they do everything they can to take care of us up here, and to see them taken advantage of is never good," said Travel Center worker Aaron Clifton.
