MISSOULA, Mont. - Cops used a taser on a Missoula man for being uncooperative when he allegedly flooded his apartment.
John Jay Freeman is charged with felony criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after prosecutors say he plugged his kitchen sink with clothes and flooded his apartment on West Main Street Sunday.
Court documents say Freeman wouldn't let Missoula Rural Firefighters or Missoula Police Officers inside, so they had to force their way in. And when they got in, they said he was angry and aggressive.
In Missoula County Justice Court Monday, Freeman told Judge Karen Orzech it was an accident, but she didn't buy it.
"Turning on the faucet and then having a waterfall come out the bottom of your door, and then having the officer show up and have to tase you twice in order to take you in, with you screaming and yelling at them the whole time, doesn't sound like an accident to me," she said.
Orzech set bail at $10,000.
