HUSON, Mont. - A big-rig crash northwest of Missoula shut down power to 35 homes Tuesday afternoon in Huson. The truck went off the side of Six Mile Road around 2 p.m.
Investigators say a logging truck crashed into a power pole. We're told the driver lost control of the rig and veered off the shoulder of the road, losing his load of logs.
Troopers say no one was hurt in the accident.
Highway Patrol Trooper Chad Dever said the unpaved road gives drivers less control over their vehicles.
"On these gravel roads, the shoulders are going to be soft," said Dever. "So if you get over too much, you can get pulled down into the ditches and then this is a perfect example of what can happen."
Dever says the cause of the crash is under investigation.
