MISSOULA, Mont. - After a more than 10-year hiatus, the Montana Greek Fest made a return to Missoula on Saturday.
From the hundreds of people that showed up for homemade baklava, spanakopita and gyros. It's a safe bet that the return was welcome.
The festival was organized by Missoula's Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
The event organizer told us it's a chance for them share Greek culture.
"We put our heart and soul into it as well as all of our culinary talents that we all share and have," said volunteer Gean Langlas.
"It's fabulous. I went to Greece a couple of years ago and I want to be there again right now but this is close," said Florence resident Susan Roy.
"I kind of like the bouncy house, that's fun. I like the music," said 8-year-old Isabella Grados.
KECI-13 is a proud sponsor of the event. It ends at 10 p.m. Saturday.
Event organizers are hoping that this will become an annual event and they want to make it a 2 or 3 day event.
