Frenchtown woman gets deferred sentence for arson, animal cruelty

MISSOULA, Mont. - A judge gave a Frenchtown woman a deferred sentence for lighting her trailer on fire while her pets were inside.

Randi Lamont appeared in Missoula County District Court Wednesday. In December 2012 Lamont lit her trailer home on fire while her three dogs and a cat were inside.

Judge Ed McLean gave Lamont a deferred sentence for felony arson, but she owes more than $13,000 in restitution for the damage. In addition Lamont's sentence for four counts of animal cruelty was suspended.
