Calif. investigators search for two wanted men in Montana

MISSOULA, Mont. - California investigators need your help as they search for two men they believe are linked to a triple homicide.

Sonoma County investigators tell us the men were spotted at several gas stations in Montana.

Thursday afternoon NBC Montana talked to Sonoma County Sheriff's Lieutenant Dennis O'Leary who tells us investigators in northern California have reason to believe the two suspects may reside in Montana.

Investigators say a marijuana deal gone wrong left three people shot dead in early February in Forestville, CA.

Law enforcement officials have one suspect in custody and have broadened their search for the other two men to Montana, Colorado, California and Nevada.

Investigators tell NBC Montana the men are persons of interest and may have crucial information regarding the shootings.

The two men were last seen driving a gold, early ‘90s model Ford Ranger.

"Potentially they could be armed but we're not sure," said O'Leary.  "We're not sure of their actual involvement other than they were traveling with the suspect to Sonoma County."

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of the men you are urged to call the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office at 707-565-2185.
