Armed suspect sought after convenience store robbery


MISSOULA, Mont. - Police say a man hunt in a Missoula neighborhood came up empty Saturday night after an armed robber hit a gas station convenience store.

We're told a man wearing a mask and a black hooded sweatshirt entered the store on the 2100 block of South Higgins around 10:45 p.m., pointed a handgun at the clerk, and demanded money.

Police say the clerk cooperated, and the suspect ran away down an alley behind the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police responded in force, sweeping the surrounding neighborhood for signs of the suspect, but he was not located.
