Arlee man in jail for allegedly hitting girlfriend with rock


MISSOULA, Mont. - An Arlee man is in jail for allegedly hitting his girlfriend with a rock.

Missoula County Deputies responded to a disturbance at a home in Arlee Tuesday night. The court documents say deputies heard screaming from inside the residence when they arrived.

Monty McKenzie faces three charges for the alleged incident. Prosecutors say he and his girlfriend went to Evaro Bar earlier in the day and on the way home McKenzie started hitting the woman.

The report goes on to say McKenzie continued to hit his girlfriend when they got home and eventually hit her in the head with a rock.

Bail is set at $50,000 for McKenzie. He is also being held for a separate crime in North Dakota.
