4th of July flapjacks a Missoula tradition

MISSOULA, Mont. - Missoulians piled their plates high with pancakes at the 4th of July Celebration at Fort Missoula Thursday.

The annual breakfast is put on by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The fundraiser for the Fort kicked off a day full of events.

Organizers were pleased with the turnout and the weather this year.

"It's a great turnout today. Last year we did about 1,500 people and we're hoping we can do a few more than that this year," said volunteer Rex Thompson. "It's great weather, except if you're cooking it's a little bit hot if you're cooking. But still great weather."

Other events at included music, games and vendors.
