KALISPELL, Mont. - With the beautiful weather we had it was the perfect conditions for national get outdoors day.
In the Flathead, nearly 50 people were there for an outdoors day event at Lone Pines State Park in Kalispell.
People took advantage of the park's hiking and biking trails, along with other outdoor activities for all ages.
Park Manager Amy Grout helped coordinate the events taking place today, and says that days like today, are why she loves her job.
"One of the reasons I got into this field was I wanted to help people recreate and get outdoors," Grout said. "So that is one of the best parts, when I get to come out on days like today and help people get outdoors and enjoy things I love you know, being outside, hiking, camping, fishing, and things like that"
Lone Pines State Park will have all sorts of events all summer long, and are open year round from 8 a.m. until dark.
