Search underway for Ronan homicide suspect

KALISPELL, Mont. - A search is underway near Ronan for homicide suspect Harry Lozeau. Lozeau is wanted in the weekend shooting death of his brother, Terry Lozeau.

"At about 8 a.m. this morning, one of the deputies acting on a citizen's tip found the suspect's vehicle east of Ronan in the mountainous area," said Lake County Sheriff's Office Information Officer Karen Sargeant.

A search ensued with officials from several law enforcement agencies, including a helicopter called in from the Flathead County Sheriff's Office.

"We also asked for a canine search team out of Polson; the Polson Police Department has a canine search dog," said Sargeant. "There's about 20 to 30 personnel up in the mountainous area east of Ronan searching for Harry Lozeau."

Lozeau is assumed to be armed, and officials urge the public to avoid the area and not to confront him if seen.
