Police look for armed robbery suspect


KALISPELL, Mont. - Detective Sergeant Scott Warnell from the Kalispell Police department tells NBC Montana that an armed robbery took place Friday night at around 10:20 at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel parking lot in Kalispell off Highway 93.

A man allegedly attacked the lady with a knife and was trying to steal her purse. The person the woman was with threw clothes at the man and he ran off with the purse.

The women suffered minor injuries to her face and arm.

Shortly after, police were notified and searched for the man who fled on foot. Border Patrol was working on a special case and were able to assist police with canine dogs who picked up the man's track for awhile.

Sergeant Warnell said the women described the suspect as a white male, 6-6'4, thin built but not skinny, dark hair, dark clothes, and a sweatshirt hood on.
