KALISPELL, Mont. - The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded a $25,000 grant which will supply every sworn in deputy with an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).
The grant, from a local family foundation, will additionally supply an AED to be installed in the Lake County Courthouse lobby.
A training session was conducted with Lake County Sheriff’s Office personnel in CPR and the use of AED’s.
“Often times, our deputies are the very first responder on critical scenes requiring CPR and other First Aid. This generous donation from a caring family will help us even better serve the community and further our mission to provide for the safety of our citizens. It is greatly appreciated, and we will undoubtedly save even more lives with this technology,” said Lake County Sheriff Don Bell.
