KALISPELL, Mont. - A statue that has been in city storage for five years and cost taxpayers $35,000 may finally be making its way out into Kalispell.
The city council has recently been discussing what to do with the deer statue purchased back in 2007. They decided to put it on the corner of Idaho and Main Street.
City Manager Doug Russell says almost everything is all set -- all that's left is the approval of the council for the funds of physically installing the statue.
"We have the location set aside, we have the contract terms, it's just a good opportunity to go forward with that and put forth towards approval for the place of that statue at that intersection."
