Jack Hanna to host grizzly research fundraiser


KALISPELL, Mont. - Wildlife expert Jack Hanna and his wife, Suzi, are hosting a fundraiser for grizzly bear research at their home in Bigfork on Friday evening.
The Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Foundation is organizing the Grizzly Bear Rendezvous, which raises money for research, population counts, management and capturing and relocating grizzly bears to increase their numbers in the Cabinet Mountains.
Hanna is director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, has hosted several TV shows and appears on television talk shows to teach viewers about various animals.
The Flathead Beacon reports Hanna and grizzly bear experts will answer questions and explain their programs during Friday's fundraiser, which includes a catered dinner.
