Golf scramble to benefit Flathead Young Professionals

KALISPELL, Mont. - A golfing event in the Flathead will be raising funds for Flathead professionals. This week the Flathead Area Young Professionals will be hosting their annual golf scramble.

The golf scramble is an event where teams of four play nine holes, with games and prizes along the way. The event is special because the proceeds will go towards a scholarship. That scholarship will help someone out by covering costs for Leadership Flathead, a course designed to strengthen a leaders ability to make change.

"So we thought this year we wanted to create a scholarship that would allow for more young professionals to be a part of that organization cause its a great training. You get to meet with more older professionals in the Flathead and really get that one on one training," said Flathead Area Young Professionals President, Maria Phelps.

Glacier Bank is the title sponsor of the event with 406 Women sponsoring the dinner portion of the day. The event will take place this Friday at the Village Greens Golf Course in Kalispell. Costs are $35 for members and $45 for non members. Those registration fees will go towards the scholarship.
