FWP still seeking help solving Northwest poaching cases

KALISPELL, Mont. - FWP wildlife managers are still looking for clues in the poaching of at least 19 deer in the Flathead. Back in October, officials announced a $4,450 award for information leading to convictions. Investigators say they've received several tips since then, but they're still looking for more info.

Wardens say the deer were apparently shot and left to rot, though some of the animals had antlers removed. Officials say most of the shootings happened at night in the areas of Farm to Market Road, Voerman Road, Twin Bridges road, Monegan Road and other back roads in the Whitefish area. Anyone with information is asked to call the state's anonymous tip line at 1-800-TIP-MONT, or 1-800-847-6668.
