Flathead radio hosts camp out for kids

Kalispell, Mont. - For the 5th year in a row radio show hosts in the Flathead have been camping out for the past 36 hours, collecting donations for toys for tots.

The three radio stations have been doing what they can to get people to come out and donate including live performances by local bands as well as visits from Santa and the marines. At the blue cow car wash in Kalispell B98.5's Brew and The Freak have been sleeping in tents and watching the donations roll in. We spoke with Fathead Valley Toys for Tots coordinator Ryan Keeler who told us that this fundraiser is huge and donations have been great but the need in the Flathead is also great this year.

"As of last night I had signed up 628 families. So I, I think it's going to be a lot more. We're going to get those last minute rushers today. I haven't talked to my people who are answering the phone yet today but I know there's going to be more people next week that are going to be signing up at the last minute." Says Keeler.

The camp out ends tonight at 7:00pm but if you still want to make a donation you can visit ToysForTots.org for a list of drop off locations near you.
