Flathead health officials confirm new pertussis cases


KALISPELL, Mont. - On Wednesday officials at the Flathead City-County Health Department confirmed three new cases of pertussis. The new cases include two adults, and an elementary school student at Fair Mont Egan in Kalispell.

The new cases bring the total number of confirmed cases in the county to 32 since the start of October. According to experts, there are four stages of the disease, and in the second, after five to 21 days, symptoms appear.
