Cause of death determined for Nathan Bird


KALISPELL, Mont. - According to authorities, a cause of death has been determined for a Huson man who went missing on Flathead Lake.

Authorities say Nathan Bird died of accidental drowning.

Bird went missing on August 25th, after his boat was found with his two dogs near the shore of Big Bull island on the lake.

Lake County crews began searching for Bird on the 25th, and also called in Flathead County crews to help.

Search and rescue teams recovered his body on August 29th.

Authorities are still awaiting toxicology test results, which are expected to take another two to three weeks.
