1 killed, 7 injured in crash near Conrad


GREAT FALLS, Mont. - A collision at the intersection of two highways in north-central Montana killed one person and injured seven, including four children.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the crash happened Tuesday morning at the intersection of a frontage road and Montana Highway 44 just west of Interstate 15 in Pondera County near Conrad. The patrol says a 65-year-old Brady man pulled out in front of a car driven by a 47-year-old Whitefish woman.
The Great Falls Tribune reports the Brady man died in the crash and three people in his car were injured, including two girls, ages 8 and 9. Four people in the other car were injured, including two boys, ages 6 and 8. The injured were taken to hospitals in Seattle, Spokane, Wash., Great Falls and Conrad.
The victim's name hasn't been released.
