HAVRE, Mont. -

A former juvenile probation officer in Havre has pleaded not guilty to raping the mother of a juvenile he was supervising.

Stephen Mills entered his plea Monday in District Court and posted a $20,000 bond. District Judge Katherine Bidegaray of Sidney scheduled a Dec. 8 trial date.

State prosecutors allege Mills took the woman home from a bar in January and forced her to perform a sex act.

Mills denied the allegations. Prosecutors say DNA evidence taken from the woman matched Mills' DNA profile.

He did say the woman's son had an upcoming hearing at which it was being recommended the boy be placed outside the home.

Mills' attorney, Jeremy Yellin, did not immediately return a phone call Wednesday seeking comment.

Supreme Court Administrator Beth McLaughlin says Mills no longer works as a juvenile probation officer.
