Judge sets $50,000 bail for Texas man accused of targeting pedestrians
GALLAT IN COUNTY
Bryan Paluk, 28, appeared in Gallatin County Justice Court Monday morning. He faces a felony charge of criminal endangerment. In court, Judge Bryan Adams set bail at $50,000.
Bozeman Police arrested Paluk on Friday night near the Lewis and Clark Motel in downtown Bozeman. Witnesses told police Paluk tried to run over pedestrians, and that they were afraid they were going to be run over by Paluk's SUV.
Police say nobody was injured, but Paluk managed to run into a light pole, a one-way street sign, and the sign in front of Big Brothers Big Sisters on S. 8th Ave.
According to investigating officers Paluk refused a field sobriety test, but officers on scene report he had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. According to police Paluk has one prior DUI conviction.
