MISSOULA, Mont. -

Around 600 people attended a veterans Stand Down at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Missoula Thursday.

Veterans who attended got access to employment services, dental care, medical and mental health screenings, and even haircuts.

Montana has the nation's highest per capita percentage of veterans.

"This is extremely needed, because those services are so spread out. We live in a rural state, sometimes these veterans don't have the opportunity to make it from place to place, and to have one spot for them to come in like this is critical."
