Home burns down in Anaconda; same scene of officer involved shooting
ANACONDA, Mont. -

A weekend fire gutted a home just outside Anaconda. The property is at 1701 Lost Creek Road, just off of Montana-48.

It is the same property where a police officer shot John Crisler, whom police were trying to arrest on a warrant. Crisler allegedly tried to run over an officer as they attempted to arrest him.

The Lost Creek/Antelope Gulch Volunteer Fire Department said they responded to the fire around 8 p.m. on Saturday.

13 fire trucks and about 20 firefighters fought the flames, but they weren't able to save the home.

The owner, Don Harvy, was not home at the time. No one else was at the home either.

Authorities didn't know the cause of the fire on Monday, but say they do not suspect arson, and do not believe the police-involved shooting is related to the fire.
