Hikers rescued near Hungry Horse Reservoir
Two men were rescued by search and rescue crews around 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The men, both in their 60s, were reported missing in the area of North Biglow Lake around 1:30 a.m. NBC Montana learned the pair had been hiking with a group and split off to take a different route. The men were well prepared and built a fire to wait out the night.
Sheriff's office deputies and North Valley Search and Rescue Crews initiated a ground search. Two Bear Aviation located using night vision and infrared imaging and directed North Valley crews to the hikers, who were returned to their party without injuries.
