KALISPELL, Mont. -

A private helicopter taking two Flathead County employees to do some work on a radio tower east of Kalispell made a hard landing near Mount Aenaes in the Jewel Basin.

Sheriff Chuck Curry tells the Flathead Beacon that no one was injured.

Curry says the helicopter from Two Bears Aviation hit a snowfield "pretty hard" Thursday morning and rolled onto its side. He says they were looking for a good spot to land at the time.

A helicopter from Red Eagle Aviation picked up the stranded passengers.

Curry says his office isn't sure why the helicopter went down.
