GREAT FALLS, Mont. -

The Montana Highway Patrol says a 47-year-old Great Falls woman was killed in a motorcycle crash outside of the city.

The woman's 22-year-old passenger was seriously injured in Saturday's crash and taken to a hospital.

The Cascade County Sheriff's Office had not named either woman as of Sunday morning.

The Great Falls Tribune reports the women were riding north on Stockett Road when the driver missed a curve and left the roadway.

Highway patrol officials say both women were thrown from the motorcycle. Neither was wearing a helmet.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
