BOZEMAN, Mont. -

NBC Montana has learned that a Georgia man has been found dead in the Electric Peak area of Yellowstone National Park.

According reports from Georgia, 23 year old Austin Parker was reported missing by a friend about 7:30pm Tuesday afternoon.

He was reportedly hiking the Electric Peak area along the Montana-Wyoming state line alone.

Search and Rescue crew began looking for Parker that night with dogs and helicopters.

Parker's family told an NBC affiliate in Georgia that a helicopter search crew spotted Parker's backpack Thursday and his body was located near by.

Parker had been living in Montana the past month.

Officials have not said how he died.  We are currently working to track down more information and will bring more information as we learn it.
