ANACONDA, Mont. -

A state game warden shot and killed a mountain lion after it was spotted under a pickup truck in Anaconda.

Fish, Wildlife and Parks warden Joe Kambic tells The Montana Standard the young male lion may have eaten at least one cat.

A homeowner called to report the cat on Tuesday and it was shot Tuesday afternoon.

Kambic says it's not unusual for mountain lions to be seen on the outskirts of town, but it is rare to spot one in town in the middle of the day.
