MISSOULA, Mont. -

The following information was released by Montana FWP:

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) is seeking information about a recent vandalism at the Bolin Ranch Conservation Easement property, near Stevensville.

FWP Warden Captain, Joe Jaquith, said the sign at the upper parking area was shot repeatedly sometime during the first week of October.  This is the second time in the past 18 months that FWP will have to replace the sign due to vandalism.

The Bolin Conservation Easement is in place to conserve the land and wildlife and provide public access to this private property.  FWP’s access coordinator for west-central Montana, Bart Morris, said it is incidents like these that threaten future cooperation with private landowners to provide public access.

“We need our community to come forward with tips that will help us to find those responsible for this vandalism, and just as importantly work to prevent these incidents in the future,” Morris said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668).  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward for providing information that leads to a conviction.
