Fish, Wildlife and Parks released Wednesday, hunters can buy over the counter antelope licenses starting August 5th.
The surplus licenses for class "B" deer, elk and antelope will also be sold online.
FWP says in some areas, very few licenses are available and officials expect them to go fast.
Surplus licenses are those still remaining after Montana's recent special hunting license drawings.
"B" licenses are for hunting antlerless deer or elk.
FWP says the leftover licenses are sold on a first come, first served basis.
Briant Duray is from Billings and told NBC Montana he has hunted for over 30 years. Duray says he plans to buy his license online.
"They're an important part of my hunting because I typically hold out and the antler less tags provide the meat that I am looking for -- the season," said Duray.
The FWP Helena Office says, hunters looking to buy these licenses, should plan ahead to purchase them early
