Former Manhattan football coach Dale McQueary has reportedly been hired as a basketball coach for Powell County High School.
Powell County High School made the announcement of the hiring, according to the sports website, deerlodgesports.com
McQueary got caught in a controversy during his time as the Manhattan football coach.
An investigation report alleged McQueary failed to deposit more than $8,300 in a school fund raising account in 2011, then returned all but around $250 of it.
The school board placed McQueary on administrative leave last fall, and in February, opened up the high school football coaching position.
Earlier this month, McQueary resigned from his Manhattan Junior High math teaching position.
The Manhattan School Board chose Chris Grabowska to take over as the high school's new head football coach.
