KALISPELL, Mont. -

In Kalispell Friday evening, Flathead Valley Community College graduated its 46th class, the class of 2014.

The commencement ceremony was held in a packed Trade Center at the Flathead County Fairgrounds.

431 students received associates degrees or certificates in arts, science, applied science, and nursing.

The student speaker was student government Secretary Chasta Markham. She spoke of the determination and support needed for the class to get to where they are today.

"Flathead Valley Community College class of 2014, I invite you to toss those hats in the air after we've taken our walk across the stage. Why? Because we did it. Sincerely and from the bottom of my heart, thank you all! And good luck!" Markham finished to a round of applause.
