KALISPELL, Mont. -

Thursday is the first day for candidates to file for campaigning. It's been a quiet day in the Flathead area though. Only four people came in to file, according to the Flathead County Election Department.

All the county seats except for two commissioner districts are up for grabs, making a total of nine seats open for new candidates in the Flathead.

The cutoff date for people to file is March 10. The election supervisor said that they don't anticipate a lot of people to file for these positions in the Flathead.
