Significant rain is in the forecast today through Saturday. We could potentially see 0.5 to 1.5 inches of rain. The heaviest precipitation totals will be along the divide. Flood Watch for the following counties. Deer Lodge, Flathead, Granite, Lake, Missoula, Powell, Ravalli, Sliver Bow and Lemhi.
Skies will be mostly cloudy to cloudy with high temperatures in the 60s across the region. Low temperatures will drop into the 40s for most areas, with 30s possible in our higher valley locations.
Snow levels around Yellowstone and Glacier feet will drop to around 7000 feet. Light accumulation of snow are possible late Friday and early Saturday. It is unlikely snow will reach roadways other than Logan Pass in Glacier National Park. However, if you have plans in the backcountry this weekend be prepared for cold and wet conditions.
