Fire Marshal investigating blaze at Montana State Prison


DEER LODGE, Mont. - A fire destroyed a storage building at Montana State Prison Tuesday afternoon.

According to prison spokeswoman Linda Moodry the fire broke out around 4:30 in the EMS building.  The building is outside of the main prison compound and used to store equipment.

The prison says firefighters from Deer Lodge and Racetrack assisted with the putting out the fire.

Officials tell NBC Montana the building is a complete loss. The cause is yet to be determined.
