MISSOULA, Mont. -

The Missoula County Fire Protection Association is reminding folks the fire danger remains high and outdoor burning has been closed.

According to a news release from the MCFPA, recent temperatures in the 80's and 90's have cured grasses.  Those fine grasses are one of the drivers of wildfires.

Fire officials say multiple grass fires have escaped crews and spread to the forest. And while open burning has been closed fire crews continue to respond to debris fires.

There are no other fire restrictions in Missoula County at this time, but folks are urged to be cautious with campfires.
