GREAT FALLS, Mont. -

Cascade County authorities say the body of a 17-year-old teen boy who drowned in the Missouri River has been found.

The Cascade County Sheriff's Office says the body of Wyatt Whitmore of Great Falls was found Thursday about 150 yards from where he was last seen near the Big Bend fishing access point.

The Great Falls Tribune reports (http://gftrib.com/14UO2Z7) Whitmore was swimming with friends Tuesday when he began to panic in the water.

His friends attempted to reach him, but the current pulled him under.

Authorities dragged the river and searched for Whitmore by air and boat. On Wednesday, they brought in cadaver-sniffing dogs to assist.

Bill Gange, the boy's cousin, says the family was just hoping to find his remains and bring them home.
