Today Chief Executive Matt Vincent announced Stephanie Marshall as the new Director of the Butte-Silver Bow Parking Commission.
“I believe Stephanie has the experience to lead the department and navigate the parking challenges Uptown Butte will face over the next year,” Vincent said.
Marshall was born and raised in Anaconda and Butte and attended Montana State University in Bozeman where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She was actively involved in college with the Associated Students of MSU, where she was responsible for managing the organization’s 1.5 million dollar budget, and was also involved with the MSU Foundation as their Call Center Manager. After graduation Stephanie worked for over four years in Kalispell as a Group Manager at a large call center where she oversaw a team of more than 250 agents and 13 managers, as well as co-ownership of a bakery and deli franchise.
She was able to return home to Butte in 2004 and served as a real estate agent with Homestead Real Estate for six years. Stephanie will be transitioning to the Parking Director position from her current job as a Deputy Clerk in the Clerk and Recorder’s Office where she has worked since 2012. She has a three year old daughter, Hannah.
“I am excited for the opportunity to serve as the new Parking Director and feel confident that together with the Parking Commission and the Chief Executive we can quickly find solutions for some of the challenges in the department,” Marshall said.
Marshall was selected from among 37 applicants. The Butte-Silver Bow Parking Commission approved the selection of Marshall at their January 29 meeting. Marshall’s salary will be $42,617, and she will start on February 13.
