Deputy shoots man outside Worden bar
The Yellowstone County sheriff's office is investigating after a deputy shot a man during a confrontation near a Worden bar. Officers discovered a body in the area after the shooting.
Sheriff Mike Linder says the man was flown to a Billings hospital shortly after 5 a.m. Friday.
Linder reports that deputies responded to a report at about 2:30 a.m. of suspicious activity near the 406 Bar. Deputies located a man in a car. They were talking with him at about 4 a.m., when the man pulled a gun. At least one deputy shot the man.
Linder did not know how many shots were fired or how badly the man was injured.
Officials released no other information about the body. The death is being investigated as a homicide.
