BUTTE, Mont. -

Just a few hours in the several agreements and deals have been announced at the 2013 Jobs summit in Butte.

Two early announcements came from the Ambassadors.

According to a news release, during the panel Peruvian Ambassador Harold Forsyth told the crowd about a new partnership between the University of Montana and Peruvian National Agriculture University.  The two universities will partner on forestry research and education programs.

Following the panel, Senator Max Baucus joined Canadian Ambassador Gary Doer on stage to announce a new trade mission to the Bakken Oil Formation.

The November trade mission will bring Canadian oil companies to the oil rich region in eastern Montana and North Dakota.

A news release says the trade mission was organized between the Montana and Manitoba World Trade Centers.

Just before the lunch break Senator Baucus returned to stage with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana Vice President of Sales and Marketing Frank Cote.  Cote announced that BCBS planned to open a new call center in Great Falls.  The center would create between 100 and 150 new jobs.
