HELENA, Mont. -

U.S. Rep. Steve Daines has raised more than $1.4 million in the past three months in his fight to unseat U.S. Sen. John Walsh in the November election.
The Republican's campaign released the fundraising numbers Monday ahead of a July 15 Federal Election Commission deadline.
The campaign did not say how much he has spent over the past three months but says he has $1.7 million on hand.
Walsh announced last week that his campaign has raised $1.25 million for the period from April 1 to June 30.
Daines says they've raised $3.6 million since kicking off the campaign last fall while Walsh says they've raised nearly $2.8 million in that time.
Daines, Walsh and Libertarian Roger Roots are campaigning for the seat Walsh was appointed to in February.
