MISSOULA, Mont. -

Montana Highway Patrol Troopers say a single vehicle car accident that occurred Saturday night near Troy killed two people.

Troopers say the crash happened Iron Creek Road near mile marker 54.

They say a 32-year-old male driver from Troy, with a 21-year-old female passenger from Libby, was driving at a high rate of speed and crashed his Toyota Celica after failing to negotiate a turn.

The car reportedly struck two trees.

Troopers say both people weren't wearing seat belts.
