BILLINGS, Mont. -

The Montana Supreme Court has rejected a request by a 59-year-old Billings man to dismiss his convictions and life sentences for raping a 7-year-old girl.

The Billings Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1bZ3dat) the five-member panel on Tuesday upheld the convictions of Lucien Sidney Bonck III.

Bonck was convicted in February 2011 of three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and one count of tampering. In September 2011 he was sentenced to six consecutive life terms without parole.

Bonck appealed in November contending a member of the jury was the father of a longtime friend of one of the prosecutors.

The justices ruled that Bonck's attorney did not object to the juror remaining on the panel.

The justices also rejected Bonck's argument that the trial judge allowed improper testimony.
